The event started back in 2008 to raise a bit of money for the neo-natal unit at St James Hospital in Leeds. Thanks to the generosity of our competitors, sponsors, friends and families, since starting in 2008 we have so far raised an incredible total of £277,000.
For 2026 we once again chose to donate the proceeds to Support Dogs UK an organisation based in the county which provides specialist trained dogs to assist adults with epilepsy and physical disability and children with autism.
